After our research, we decided to use an alternative rock genre, the artist we are using has given us permission to use his songs and a sample of some of his music

Evaluation of our band

We evaluated the image of our band and used our research of our genre to help us have a unique selling point, and know what audience we need to sell you.

Evaluation of album covers

We created an evaluation page to link all the album covers together, including an example which we analysed.

Album covers

We have analysed a number album covers from different Genres, which we have shown some in the presentation, this shows us what sort of genres use for their album covers.

Contiuned evaluation of posters

To help us take photos of our band, we also looked at methods some other bands had used, some of them were very simple with not alot happening on the photo, and others had simple airbrused them and used photoshop.

We looked at connotations and denotations of boy and girl band posters as it will help us to make our own poster.

Mixed Bands

To show a different type of band, we researched bands with both male and female artists, from the ones we found, bands with both genders tend to have more of a rock genre, and appeal to both male and female audience.

Boy band

Next we looked at boy bands, we found they also are an idolised image for men, but also a sex appeal for women, they often look very similar, with there body language and the way they dress, and there hair.

Girl bands

This is our research page on Girl Bands, we found the connotations of Girl bands and found that they are massive sex icons to the men, and an idolised vision of what girls want to look like.

The name of our Institution is Rajo Studios. It is only a small institution helping
independant artists, we got our ideas of some websites we researched such as rough trade.
